Rick designed a complete remodeling of our kitchen, installed cabinets and appliances (which we had bought in advance). This is a small kitchen and we had some basic ideas of what to do, but Rick improved on them and we now have a much more spacious and luxurious kitchen.
Rick was very helpful from start to finish. We had a wide choice of cabinets and hardware. The hardwood, maple cabinets we picked are terrific, and the whole place looks beautiful. Timing was exactly as Rick had predicted and he and his crew worked extremely well.

Doverspike Kitchens did a total remodel of a basic 1940’s kitchen. The original kitchen had a pantry and closet area between the kitchen and the dining room. The two walls were removed and new walls with a doorway (arched) were installed. Another doorway was covered up (more kitchen wall space.) Within one of the original walls was a heating duct (that heated the upstairs) that was re-routed through the new walls and the heating ducts for the kitchen and dining room were re-routed. The new walls were plastered with the same swirl pattern to match the rest of the house. New kitchen cabinets, plumbing, electrical, floor and ceiling were all installed. The ceiling was stamped and the original kitchen light was moved (since the center of the kitchen changed) and can lights were installed. Matching crown molding and base boards were installed around the entire kitchen. A dishwasher, microwave, gas stove (re-routed line), garbage disposal, and water line for a future new refrigerator were all installed.
I am absolutely thrilled with my new kitchen. Rick and his team did a fabulous job with my remodel. I had a kitchen design drawn up at Home Depot and Rick took this design and upgraded it. Rick paid attention to detail, listened to exactly what I wanted and designed the kitchen to my specifications. He is the only contractor that I spoke with that realized that a heating duct went through a wall in the kitchen and was not put off about moving it. He went out of his way to obtain the flooring that I had picked out. He is also the only contractor that realized that the center of the kitchen would be changing and made adjustments to accommodate. Rick started my kitchen exactly when he said that he would and finished within a two and a half week time period. I spoke with several different contractors and Rick was the only one who seemed to grasp all the pieces necessary to turn out a top notch kitchen.
C. Checkeye
My bathroom was totally gutted from floor to ceiling. Old tub, toilet, sink, and cupboard removed. New floor, drywall, tub unit, vanity sink, toilet, cupboards, and fixtures installed. Also an old wall vent was closed and a new ceiling vent with a light fixture was installed. A new medicine chest with all new electrical work was put in place. The walls were painted and a new vinyl floor and a new door was installed.
This is a family owned business and it is obvious that they work well together. Boyd and his grandson Jimmy were very courteous and conscientious of their work. I had no problem leaving them a key to my home so they could do the work while I was away on a business trip. Everything was neatly cleaned up when they were finished. I would recommend them to anyone.

We built an addition onto our home which expanded our kitchen and doubled our cabinet and counter space. We added new cherry cabinets and a Corian counter with an inset sink.
Doverspike Kitchens had replaced our cabinets 14 years ago with cherry custom mades. We wanted to keep these, which we were told by three other kitchen contractors would be impossible to do. When Rick Doverspike came out to give us a bid, he did not promise that he would be able to match up the wood but that he would do his best – cherry is nearly impossible to match because of its character and the aging process. He did it! No one who has seen our kitchen has been able to identify which cabinets are the 14 year old ones! They are awesome! He did a fantastic job. the work was done when promised, the installers were professional, courteous, and friendly. They worked well and cooperated with our general contractor and floor installer. Rick was available at all times for questions and encouragement, because this is a family owned business which has more than 40 years of experience, you really get special service.
